The Pink Picture Project

This is a deeply personal and inspiring series created to honor cancer survivors, thrivers and those in the midst of their fight.

Where It Began

Born from lived experience, the project was created after founder and photographer Karina Giselle navigated her own breast cancer journey and witnessed firsthand the emotional challenges that persist long after treatment ends. While surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation eventually come to an end, the physical and emotional impact of cancer often remains. The Pink Picture Project was created to bridge that gap by offering survivors a space to feel confident, beautiful and whole no matter where they are in their story.

Finding Yourself Again

Through thoughtfully curated portrait experiences, survivors are invited to reconnect with themselves and with one another. What begins as a photoshoot often becomes something much deeper: a community, finding strength in vulnerability, and rediscovering confidence in bodies forever changed by cancer.

The Heart of the Project

At its core, The Pink Picture Project is rooted in self-love and post-traumatic growth. It serves as a reminder that beauty can coexist with scars, that joy can exist alongside hardship, and that survivors are worthy not only of healing, but of celebration. Through photography, community, and storytelling, the project seeks to transform the cancer experience from one of isolation into one of connection, resilience, and hope.

The Pink Picture Project exists to remind every survivor of one simple truth:

you are more than a diagnosis.
